Odds into quilts. . . from Elsie Quilts

My guild considers me the one to take all sorts of orphans blocks, donated fabric and scraps and "make something" from them. I love the challenges yet sometimes they are like squirrels running through my house. 

One helpful book from the library gives me new ideas, so I ordered the book and now like working on all these odds even more. The book is called, "The Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters: A Guide to Creating, Quilting & Living Courageously" by Sherri Lynn Wood. For me, worth every penny. Finishing up a donation from Elsie Quilts

The quilt guild in our city has a 'community' division where members can donate quilts to various organizations that help out people in need. We are not able to get together and sew because of the Covid regulations, but we do have contact through ZOOM etc. 

Last time I was at a 'Community Services'  meeting (seems ages), I took home a bunch of little blocks someone donated. She didn't want to finish them, even included the pattern. A few were sewn into bigger blocks, but most were about 4" square. It didn't take long to put them together ...
